Our multidisciplinary lab focuses on developing novel therapies and drug-delivery systems based on nanotechnology and functional biomaterials. By studying key processes in the tumor microenvironment and employing an integrative approach which combines bioengineering nanomedicine and theoretical models, we rationally design selective nano-therapies to provide a maximum drug efficacy with minimum off-target effects.
We develop advanced 3D ex vivo cell models for tumor-on-a chip. Using patient-derived samples we use flow device for precision medicine. This platform enables to study activity and toxicity of anti-cancer drugs and nano-therapies for personalized nanomedicine.
